The Code of the West: What it Means to Be a Man

Being a man means being living your life by a moral code such as The Code of the West. Being chivalrous, honorable, truthful, trustworthy, polite, fair, gentle at times, and tough at others is all a part of manhood. It's about showing women respect. It's about standing up for yourself, but more importantly it's about standing up for weaker men.

"Men" that are always making an effort to act tough are never the tough ones. Real men will never flaunt their strength, they have nothing to prove.

"A great man shows his greatness by the way he treats little men" (Thomas Carlyle).

A man opens the door for women, shows respect to others around him, and will show his strength by the way he holds himself and treats others.

For fathers, being means being a responsible dad and raising your kid's right. It's about taking interest in their lives, teaching them important life lessons and skills, and providing them with the support they need.Being a man is about protecting your family and your beliefs.

Don't rush out and by that extra small shirt or go to the tanning booth to try to prove to the others that you are a strong, handsome man. People see right through this, and they see it as insecurity...not manliness.

Real men let their actions speak for them, not their biceps.  When men are wrong they admit it. Men do not harm others unless harm is being done to them, their family, a woman, or an outmatched man. Men live their lives with honor, they are honest with themselves and those around them, they treat women with respect, and they live by 'The Code of the West'.

Help America, and the rest of the world, return to its days of honor and independence.
