NFL Player Shawne Merriman Arrested for Assaulting Tila Tequila Pics and Vid

Shawne Merriman a former United States’ NFL rookie of the year has been reportedly taken into custody after the petite MTV star Tila Tequila of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila fame signed a citizen’s arrest warrent accusing the 6’ 4” 265-pound bruiser of choking and restraining her when she tried to leave his house north of San Diego. The Asian celebrity Tequila Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, is five-feet tall and 98 pounds.

Popular celebrity news website TMZ reports that before the incident that led to the arrest, the pair were photographed around the Stingaree nightclub in San Diego at approximately 1:00am.

“They were taken in a roped off area and Tila was seen giving Shawne lap dances all night long,” TMZ reported.

Tequila, 27, was taken for treatment to Pomerado Hospital in Poway, Calif. It is reported she was treated and then promptly released.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Merriman had been arrested; bail was set at $58,000, TMZ reported.

Celebrity gossip websites are going abuzz with this latest news of celebrity violence. This case is making the rounds as one of the hottest topics of this week. Physical violence such as this high resembles the brutal attack by Chris Brown on Rihanna a few months ago.

According to Tequila’s Twitter page, she was in town this weekend to attend her first Chargers game on Friday against the San Francisco 49ers — and gushed about her boyfriend.

“Im tweeting you from the next … room … WAKE YOUR —- UP! LOL. … awwww U sleeping like an angel. … SExy Sexy babay!” she wrote Saturday in one of her last messages to Merriman. Little did she know, the relationship was going to hit a very sour note in a few hours.
