Eagles vs Redskins: Monday Night Football Odds
ESPN television will feature a NFC East divisional battle when the Philadelphia Eagles (5-3) meet the Washington Redskins (4-4) at 8:30pm EST from FedEx Field in Monday night football odds. Online sportsbooks have listed the Eagles -3 as NFL betting favorites on the road vs the Redskins while the over/under total is set at 43. Sportsbooks also favor Philadelphia -185 in money line Monday night football odds vs Washington +165 for Monday night's game. The Eagles currently sit in 2nd place of the NFC East while the Redskins are in 3rd place and will be trying to turn things around after losing last week to the Detroit Lions.
The Redskins fell last week on the road to Detroit 25-37 and didn't even come close to covering the spread as 2.5-point underdogs heading into Monday night football odds to go 5-2-1 ATS for the season. Tonight's Monday night football game is somewhat of a soap opera with the on and off benching of QB Donovan McNabb, the fact that he will be facing his former team and the excuses from Washington head coach Mike Shanahan why he has chosen to previously bench McNabb. The Eagles on the other hand were full of questions at the beginning of the season since the trade of McNabb to the Redskins but with QB Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick back behind center, Philadelphia has been able to keep a winning record including last week's 26-24 victory vs the Indianapolis Colts. The Eagles won by 2-points and were listed as 3-point favorites vs Indianapolis but couldn't cover the spread to fall to 3-5 ATS for the season. Vick will get the start in Monday night football odds after throwing 1,017-yards for seven touchdowns and zero interceptions on the season but feels the Eagles still have not reached their peak. "We have a lot of rising stars, we have a lot of young guys who are very dedicated and we have some veterans who have been around for a long time," Vick said this week. "I think that if we just put it all together we can make a run at it."
